Chris has played hundreds
of shows with various Bay Area bands.
The first was House of
Kane, an alternative pop band (1991-1993), which had
a strong following in the Peninsula (just south of San
Francisco), and headlined venues such as the Berkeley
Square and the Last Day Saloon. House of Kane disbanded
after the keyboardist and vocalist (Gary and Roula Palmer)
left the band to focus on their family life.
Two years later, Chris
joined Planet Me (1994-1997), the most popular cover
band on the Peninsula. But Planet Me was not just a
cover band--they mixed several original tunes into their
hard-rocking sets, leaving the audience delighted each
time. It was with Planet Me that Chris began his collaboration
and friendship with Brian Cox.
In 2001, Chris formed
Forcing Bloom. Forcing Bloom did force its way into
the Northern California metal scene. Playing nearly
100 shows in 2002, the band grew a diverse following
of young adults, teenagers, and older music fans as
well. Forcing Bloom opened for Spike 1000 (Columbia
Records) at the Phat Fair in Bakersfield in June of
2002. Forcing Bloom's debut CD, "Bend Your Mind,"
sold over 3,000 units. Forcing Bloom broke up due to
personal conflicts in December 2002.
Currently, Chris is in
The Parts. He believes this to be his highest musical
achievement to date. This is the best team he as ever
been a Part of.
